Carrot Ginger Soup a fixture at Fast & French

Gaulart & Maliclet, familiarly known as Fast & French, gets good mileage out of carrots, which appear in a popular slaw that tops the cafe’s banh mis. A vegetarian carrot ginger soup has been a fixture for three decades.

“At the cafe, many of our recipes rely on one main vegetable that is heightened with a simple pairing of ingredient or spice,” Lawrence Mitchell says. “One such recipe that comes to mind is our Carrot Ginger Soup. This soup is part of the recipes we inherited from the original owners Jean Marie and Gwylene.”
